And while one open source consultant isn't calling for any pride parades, he does argue that all public sector organizations, including health care and education, have a "moral obligation almost" to examine the open source software option and to develop clear policies about its adoption.

From the day someone lets you in on the fact that there's no such person as a tooth fairy to the night it dawns on you that there's no such thing as a Web Service, such maturations serve well.
This week, we came of age on two issues: Suppliers are in the throes of coping with something that does not begin with RF and end with ID; and Latin America's fierce embrace of free and Open Source software is not imminent.

Looks like Gwenole Beauchesne, err.... I mean Mandrake, has put out the Release Candidate for Mandrakelinux 10.0 AMD 64:
It still does not contain ISDN support as 2.6.3-10mdk kernel was not ready in time. Here are the other changes.
The eMachines stuff (alt2 IIRC) is the same than through the test ISOs but you will still have to manually replace the existing kernel with the -emachines one. You may still encounter problems though as the only
other change would concern XFree86 and some kbd ioctl(). BTW, there might be a 2.6.6 kernel for testing soon, but that won't fit on final CDs, unless it's proven to work on eMachines. The default kernel will always be 2.6.3 though.

Following a number of out-of-court settlements, this is the first case where a company refused to sign a letter to cease and desist. So we took the logical next step and applied for a preliminary injunction. The court reviewed the case and confirmed that Sitecom is in fact in violation of the GPL license terms."
