15 Awesome Mandriva Linux Wallpapers: We've featured several distro-specific wallpapers before, like our awesome Slackware wallpapers collection and a number of cool Ubuntu wallpapers. This time, I'll be giving tribute to one of the best Linux distributions (currently topping our "Best Linux Distro of the Decade" poll) around, by sharing with you yet another set of beautiful desktop wallpapers.
Mandriva 2010.1 (Spring) was released after a rather long wait that kept many people wondering if there was going to be a new Mandriva after "Adelie" . Since I had the opportunity to download the ONE version (KDE), I immediately installed it on my Dell Mini Inspiron V Netbook to test it.
Continued to work on Photoshop ( PS in text further) brush presets support in Krita. I was exploring what features we miss and I started to implement some of them. I implemented parsing of the brush and tip dynamics and brush properties serializing so far. Parsing of the presets is complicated as it can be somehow context related.
Ages ago, in the long-forgotten days of 2008, there was Amarok 1.4. And it was good. Then KDE4 came along and Amarok was rewritten, reshaped, becoming something... different. Something unsettling. Something not altogether pleasant.

Reprieved from financial troubles with fresh investments, Mandriva released the final Mandriva Linux 2010 Spring. The latest stable release is touted for offering faster boot times, enhanced "Smart Desktop" file-organization technology, easier printer and wireless configuration, and updates including GNOME 2.30.1 and KDE 4.4.3, says Mandriva.

U.K. government staff suggested replacing Microsoft Corp. operating systems on computers with free alternatives in response to a call for ideas for Prime Minister David Cameron’s cost-cutting drive.
Cameron asked the 600,000 government workers last month to make suggestions on saving money as his administration seeks to cut Britain’s record budget deficit. Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne today published a sample of the 56,000 submitted ideas, which including abandoning Microsoft, switching office lights off and centralizing stationery procurement.

Firefox 3.6 includes a new feature where new tab, when click on a hyperlink that targeted to open in new window or tab, middle-click a link, or right click a link and select “Open Link in New Tab”, will be inserted and opened right next after the current or existing active tab containing the link in the Tab bar. The behavior facilitate the related tabs, where tabs for origin web page and web pages that are open by following hyperlinks that span from origin page are grouped together.
