A couple of days ago, Warly, The Mandrake release captain, posted to the Cooker Mailing List that the structure of the mirrors will be chaning soon to accomodate the finalization of the Mandrake 10.0 release and the continued development that will be going on in the stable community branch. Here is his original post:
The reason I am posting this is that as the mirrors start to synch up over the next few days, you may find your urpmi/rpmdrake spitting out errors when you try to istall something or update. This will simply be because the paths on the mirrors will have changed, and consequently, your urpmi sources will have to be changed to accomodate this.
Altadena, CA; Paris, France; March 30th, 2004 - The Commerce Court today accepted Mandrakesoft's exit plan from 'redressement judiciaire' (Chapter 11 like protection). The plan was approved as proposed by the company and its court appointed administrator.
The plan provides for the payment of creditors, without recapitalization as a precondition, over a period of nine years. The turnaround was largely made possible by improvements in the company's financial results -- Mandrakesoft recently recorded its first profitable quarter since 1999. This signals the return to normal operations for Mandrakesoft after a 14 month observation period.
I've posted some screenshots of Mandrake 10.0 Community. Screenshots include the new Mandrake Control Center, KDE 3.2 Control Center, Konqueror and Kontact - an app that wraps KMail, KNode, Korganizer and some other apps into one interface.

HP has supposedly been selling MandrakeSoft Linux on the desktop for a while but has been so quiet about it that for all intents and purposes it's been a stealth operation. That's all about to change, with two new Linux desktops ready for rolling out by HP to the North American SMB market, both boxes to be sold with Mandrake Linux.
ISO images of Mandrakelinux 10.0 Community are now publicly available on a number of FTP mirrors! The court appointed Administrator has filed the "redressement judiciaire" (Chapter 11 like) exit plan for the company.
The plan proposes the repayment of 4.1 million euros of liabilities over a 9 year period without interest. Of this, 3.3 million euros is exigible and 0.8 million euros is conditional upon certain events. The plan allows Mandrakesoft to repay its liabilities from revenues without raising additional capital. The Court will rule on the plan in the coming weeks.
The new version of Mandrakelinux provides many new great features and is available for download right now for contributors and Mandrakeclub Members, and as a DVD set available for pre-order at Mandrakestore. Public ISOs will be available a bit later.

9.2 AMD64 for silver members, PWP 9.2.1 for standard members

Mandrake Linux 9.2 for AMD64 is now available with BitTorrent (4 CDs) for silver members. Most of the i586 RPMs are compatible with that release and you will see that this edition is on the average 20% faster than a traditionnal 32-bit system. In addition, AMD64 users will find new commercial RPMs as new NVidia drivers, updated Java RunTime Environment and j2sdk 1.4.2 RPMs.
And, the three first ISOs of a new Powerpack 9.2.1 release include all official updates -- some packages built for the Club such as Gaim 0.74 (which now supports MSN messenger), the latest Mozilla 1.5, and a new OpenOffice with additional patches and improvements.
